Thank you for visiting Cornerstone Books. We hope this web site will be helpful to you in locating and obtaining books for reading and study. If you are already familiar with our ministry from ordering books by mail or telephone, we trust this home page will benefit your efforts to find the titles you need and learn more about books in general. Our monthly book catalog is posted here and can be found under: CURRENT THEOLOGICAL BOOK CATALOG. Each list contains our regular offering of theology and Biblical studies. Monthly, we post several hundred books with a topical focus and many miscellaneous books. If you are looking for other titles, please send us an e-mail providing author and title, and we will check our shelves. We will respond to your inquiry as soon as we can. You can also write to us or phone in. The mailing address and phone numbers are on the main page.

You will also find other book-related pages on this site to assist with building a library, selecting sound reference tools, caring for your books, and a list of twenty great books. Explore these sections, as they will be a useful guide to help increase the value of your reading and study.

This web site also includes information about other issues which are of interest to the body of Christ. The church today is at risk as never before. Many of our forebears in the pulpit issued warnings for our benefit, however much of their admonition has fallen into the hands of the deaf and blind [Isaiah 42:18-20]. Men such as C.H. Spurgeon, A.W. Tozer, Vance Havner, and a good number of others have called us to be alert, not to fall into Satan's deceptive trap, and to defend the Faith--convenient or not. Please check the QUOTES section to sense a portion of the heart of the faithful. Also, click on SERMONS to "hear" a message delivered in the past but meant, also, for our hour of need. The OPINION PAGE is designed to bring a current issue into focus and look beyond the surface. The Lord has warned us to be on guard-- "Take care, let no man deceive you" [Matthew 24:4]. In that light, we hope some of the material here will be a help--not only to inform--but as a call to be alert to the evil deeds of darkness around us and expose them [Ephesians 5:11]. Paul said, "many live as enemies of the cross of Christ" [Philippians 3:18]. Some of them are closer than we imagine. May the Lord bless you as you present the Gospel and defend the Faith.

**MISSION. We exist for the purpose of supplying theological books, reference material, resources, and encouragement for those seriously involved in doing the Lord's work, so the word of God may be boldly proclaimed in these last days.

**OUR PRAYER. We pray "that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so you may know him better...also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints and his incomparably great power for us who believe" [Ephesians 1:16-19].

**HISTORY. Cornerstone Books was founded as a ministry in 1989 with the initial focus on theology and Biblical studies. Books have been supplied by mail order, phone, FAX, and e-mail. Many want lists have come from bibliophiles worldwide, and many book catalogs have been mailed out. Hardcopy book catalogs continue to be published, also being posted on-line. This ministry has proven to be helpful to pastors, seminary students, missionaries, Bible colleges, various institutions, and individuals who are seriously interested in studying God's word. Since the beginning, many books, tracts, Bibles, and much teaching material have been shipped overseas to mission groups and distributed to ministries in the U.S. Various prisons and others who cannot afford books have also been the beneficiaries of Cornerstone's mission program.

**THE FUTURE. In addition to theological books, Cornerstone has been involved with research into the conditions and problems facing the church today. As we have entered the 21st century, a number of dangers threaten the body of Christ and the church at large. In many countries to openly profess true Christian faith means persecution or death. In the United States to give a hint of testimony in public now draws fire due to misunderstandings about the Godly principles which were part of the founding of our nation. This has come about due to the negative influence of groups like People for the American Way and the ACLU. Because many Bible believing people have retreated from the public arena, the church is seen as a dangerous threat to the liberal mores of the new society. This has now become institutionalized, which increases the challenge and the risk to those who would speak out for Truth. Cornerstone is dedicated to the effort to educate and encourage the body of Christ regarding those issues and worldviews which would render it irrelevant. It is not enough to know there is a problem -- action is to be taken. Spectators do not receive crowns!

Our investigation into the state of the current church, and the causes for its lukewarm influence, has provided us a unique understanding of the dilemma faced by the body of Christ. Through this, we have gained an appreciation for the testimony of our martyr-brothers, both current and in history. Beginning with the church's first martyr, Stephen, the resistance to the Holy Spirit has been a critical lesson often overlooked. This has not changed. We see a major need today for the Holy Spirit to be put back into His proper place as the Counselor, Comforter, and Teacher to guide the body of Christ back to its place as the witnessing body to the Truth. Many today operate by experience or tradition -- ignoring the Word and the Spirit of Truth. We cannot have revival without repentance, nor reaping without risk. The Holy Spirit and His power are the missing key to obtaining victory, crowns, and hearing the "well done" at the final accounting. Our efforts are focused towards helping others learn more clearly about the hour in which we live.

During the past several years, we have had an increased opportunity to speak in public about these issues through radio, Bible conferences, teaching, and preaching. We are available to consider a variety of speaking engagements. Please contact us for with your questions and for more information about our schedule.

Much of our ministry depends on financial support to maintain our programs. If the Lord leads you to assist us with this ministry, you can mail us a gift, indicating it to be a donation. Your support will help to provide: (1) books for missionaries and others in need; (2) Bibles and teaching materials for indigenous pastors; (3) General ministry; (4) research. If you are not able to help at this time, we are always thankful and in need of your prayers. We are blessed by the prayers of the saints! Thank you, and may the Lord bless you!
